Finding Solutions to Challenges

That Keep CFOs Up at Night

No one starts their career as CFO and about 5% wind up there and many aspire to that role or a similar senior role.  We will talk a bit about the role and skills sets at various levels Controller, VP of Finance, CFO, and introduce the CFO Plus role. In many private firms, as many of the audience will know, the CFO spends less than half their time working on what they are educated/certified.  We will address the other half and introduce several concepts that should spur some discussion.

Learning Objectives for the webinar include:

·    The role of a CFO in a private company and how to lead in functions such as HR, IT, Risk or Supply Chain AND how to manage the sensitive areas such as communication to Board members and shareholders/ stakeholders.

·    Discuss how to manage like the copilot to the CEO and we will introduce a tool we call the playbook.  It makes your job easier and much more effective.

·    Introduction to a radical concept for you to run the Finance Department as a profit center.  You might consider Finance as overhead, a staff function or a necessary evil but we contend, and will show you how, that you can run Finance like a profit center.
