Speakers Bio’s:

Loreal Jiles, Director of Research – Digital Technology & Finance Transformation; IMA

Loreal Jiles is Director of Research – Digital Technology & Finance Transformation for IMA. In this role, Loreal works hands-on with leading and emerging digital tools, engages with leaders in the accounting and finance profession, and delivers research and resources that enable the upskilling of accounting, finance, and business professionals. Loreal also contributes to the strengthening of the global academic offering of collegiate accounting programs through collaborative research projects, knowledge sharing, and leadership of the IMA Higher Education Endorsement Program through IMA’s Committee on Academic Relations.

 Prior to joining IMA, Loreal worked in the energy industry for nearly 15 years across a host of roles covering accounting, digital technology, financial reporting, change management, auditing, and planning & performance management, including leading a Robotic Process Automation implementation in a finance organization.

 Loreal is a former IMA Global Board Director and is a member of the IMA Technology Solutions and Practices Committee. She recently led a groundbreaking research study on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the U.S. accounting and finance profession, and in February 2021, co-authored the report “Diversifying U.S. Accounting Talent: A Critical Imperative to Transformational Outcomes.” In July 2020, Loreal authored an IMA Statement on Management Accounting titled “Transforming the Finance Function with RPA,” and in September 2020, she published an article in Strategic Finance magazine titled “A Data-Driven Approach to the Pandemic.”  Loreal holds a B.S. in accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. and MBA from Tulane University.



Susan Strickland

Director of Recruiting with over 20 years recruiting experience.

Susan graduated from Gettysburg College and has been with Gateway Search Associates for 18 years. As a Director of Recruiting, Susan specializes in strategic career development for Accounting and Finance professionals at all levels. She enjoys being part of a candidate’s journey to success. Susan is a member of Arbonne International and also volunteers for her community in fundraising, helping out at local food banks, and empowering others in various ways. She has a 13-year-old daughter and enjoys music, travel, tennis and the adventures of life.
