Financial Planning & Analysis:

The Backbone of a Well-Run Company

 - Offering This Session at No Charge!! -(but you must register to attend)

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), at its most basic, is all about leading, supporting and driving an organization to achieve their financial and operational goals and objectives. The FP&A function often manages the following activities: long-range planning, annual planning, analysis of actual results, periodic re-forecasting, risk & opportunity assessment (focus on mitigating risks and maximizing opportunities), and (often) monthly financial and business reporting to management, executive leadership and Board of Director members.

Organizationally the FP&A function is typically managed by a senior finance leader, vice president or director, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). While the team resides in finance, the best FP&A teams are deeply embedded within the company's cross-functional organizations, sometimes with dotted-line reporting. When a cross-functional executive considers an FP&A team member as part of their operational team, then FP&A is doing things right.

No Prerequisites are required.
